Experience
Peter Schuur is a member of the Tax Department with experience structuring a broad array of transactions including international acquisitions and dispositions, spin-offs, financings and restructurings and partnership transactions. With a strong focus in the private equity field he has advised on numerous U.S. and international private equity buy-outs and on the formation of award winning private equity funds. Mr. Schuur also has extensive experience advising on tax matters for corporate transactions in the insurance industry. He is recognized as a leading lawyer in international tax by The Legal 500 US (2009), where clients note that he is “extremely responsive and knowledgeable in both US tax and international structuring – he produces solutions which are practical and implementable.” He is listed as one of the world’s top 250 tax advisers by the Tax Directors Handbook (2009).
