Experience
Dual-qualified in England and the US, Kate Ashton is a corporate partner in the firm’s London office with extensive experience in Europe and the US in corporate finance, debt and equity offerings, financial restructurings and general corporate matters. She has been recognized by UK Legal 500 2007 as one of the “Leading US Lawyers” in London and for her equity capital markets (US capability) work. She regularly counsels European clients on US securities matters and has recently been deeply involved in European listings of private equity funds. She has advised on some of the most high-profile recent European restructurings including the Parmalat, Drax and Aker Kvaerner transactions. Ms. Ashton recently advised the largest single creditor of Sea Containers Limited in its concurrent US Chapter II and Bermuda bankruptcy proceedings, and is involved in several current European financial restructurings.
