Experience
Guy Lewin-Smith joined Debevoise in February 2008 as a corporate partner in the firm’s London office. Mr. Lewin-Smith’s practice covers a full range of M&A, equity capital market and corporate finance advisory matters.
Prior to joining Debevoise, Mr. Lewin-Smith was a corporate finance partner at Linklaters. Whilst at that firm his clients included listed companies, investment banks and brokers. He gained experience across various industrial sectors and led the firm’s Food and Beverage sector group. Mr. Lewin-Smith was also responsible for founding and developing the corporate practice in Linklaters’ Singapore office.
Mr. Lewin-Smith graduated in 1982 with a B.A. (Hons) in Jurisprudence from Oxford University and in 1983 was awarded a LL.M from the University of Virginia School of Law.
Mr. Lewin-Smith’s recent representations include:
- Clayton, Dubilier & Rice in its acquisition of Bodycote Testing Group, the laboratory materials testing business of Bodycote Plc.
- United BioSource Corporation, a global pharmaceutical services organization, on its acquisition of Envision Pharma
- Hewitt Associates, a global human resources services company, on its acquisition of New Bridge Street Consultants
