Experience
Daniel Wiedmann is an associate in the Frankfurt office and a member of the firm’s Corporate Department.

Mr. Wiedmann advises clients on all aspects of European and German competition law. He has extensive experience in securing merger control clearances in a diverse range of industries. He also has significant experience advising clients in cartel and other antitrust investigations and regularly advises clients on the compliance of joint ventures and commercial agreements with competition law.

Mr. Wiedmann further advises in the fields of corporate and commercial law, cooperate governance and corporate defense and administrative law and regulation.

Prior to joining the firm in 2009, Mr. Wiedmann worked for another international law firm and as research assistant (wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter) for European Union law at the University of Hamburg.

Mr. Wiedmann is a board member of the Antitrust Forum Frankfurt (Kartellrechtsforum Frankfurt am Main) and a member of the German Antitrust Lawyers Association (Studienvereinigung Kartellrecht) and the German-American Lawyers Association (Deutsch-Amerikanische Juristen-Vereinigung).

Mr. Wiedmann graduated from the University of Hamburg (First State Examination) in 2000 and received his LL.M. from New York University School of Law in 2002. He passed his Second State Examination in 2005 after completing his traineeship at the Hamburg Court of Appeals (2003-2005).

Mr. Wiedmann is a member of the bar in Frankfurt am Main. His native language is German and he is fluent in English.
