Debevoise After a Clerkship
Judicial clerkships can be an important building block to a legal career, and Debevoise routinely hires students who plan to clerk following law school.  We encourage students to take advantage of the opportunity to clerk, and our offer to join the firm will generally remain open during the clerkship.  Following a clerkship, incoming associates will likely be placed with their graduating law school class.  Associates generally receive one year of credit for each year of clerkship and a bonus.

"I've had exposure to a great number of partners and senior associates who have each taught me, at every step along the way, some tidbit, shared with me some morsel of how to be a great lawyer."

Associate, Class of 2002
