Debevoise Again Recognized as a “Best Law Firm for Women” by Working Mother & Flex-Time Lawyers

26 July 2016

Working Mother and Flex-Time Lawyers today named Debevoise & Plimpton LLP among the “50 Best Law Firms for Women” for 2016. This year’s recognition extends the firm’s notable distinction of being named to the list every year it has been published. Debevoise was selected for its family-friendly policies and career and business development initiatives designed to retain women lawyers and foster their development into future leaders at the firm and in the broader community.

Working Mother and Flex-Time Lawyers co-founded the Best Law Firms for Women initiative in 2007 to recognize firms that lead the industry in initiatives for women’s business development and career advancement, plus offer flexible work arrangements and generous paid parental leave, among other important benefits.

Debevoise partner My Chi To, Co-chair of the Women’s Resource Group, said, “We are so proud to be recognized as one of the ‘Best Law Firms for Women,’ and are grateful to Working Mother and Flex-Time Lawyers for this honor. Debevoise has a long tradition of understanding the importance of initiatives and benefits that help our women lawyers grow into the next generations of women leaders both inside and outside the firm.”

Underscoring Debevoise’s commitment, earlier this year the firm launched the Debevoise Women’s Review, a website dedicated to spotlighting topics of interest to professional women, including the achievements, initiatives and advocacy efforts of women and organizations around the world. The Debevoise Women’s Review platform provides a range of perspectives through interviews with leading women in business; thoughtful coverage of conferences and pertinent books and articles; and reflective pieces highlighting personal experiences.
