Debevoise Advises Showa Denko K.K. in its €350 Million SGL GE Holding Acquisition

The Tokyo, New York and Washington D.C. offices of Debevoise & Plimpton LLP are advising Showa Denko K.K. in the U.S. aspects of its agreement to acquire SGL GE Holding GmbH from SGL Carbon group for an enterprise value of €350 million.

The closing of the transaction is subject to approval from the relevant merger control authorities.

Germany based SGL GE Holding GmbH researches, develops, and manufactures graphite electrodes. Showa Denko is a Japanese chemical engineering company.
