Debevoise Partner Named to the Singapore International Arbitration Centre Court of Arbitration

Debevoise partner Catherine Amirfar has been appointed as a Member of the Singapore International Arbitration Centre’s (SIAC) Court of Arbitration. The appointment, made by the Chairman of the Singapore Business Federation, sees Ms. Amirfar join a select group of twenty-two arbitration practitioners and arbitrators from around the world as members of SIAC’s Court of Arbitration for a two year term.

The main functions of the Court include the appointment of arbitrators, as well as overall supervision of case administration at the Centre. The Centre has an experienced international panel of over 400 expert arbitrators from 40 jurisdictions.

Ms. Amirfar is a partner in the New York office of Debevoise, and Co-Chair of the firm’s Public International Law Group. Prior to rejoining Debevoise in 2016, Ms. Amirfar spent two years as the Counselor on International Law to the Legal Adviser at the U.S. Department of State.
