Shannon Rose Selden Elected to NCLEJ Board of Directors
September 28, 2011
Debevoise & Plimpton LLP partner Shannon Rose Selden has been named a director of the National Center for Law and Economic Justice (NCLEJ). Founded in 1965, at the peak of the civil rights movement, NCLEJ joined in landmark civil rights cases and helped to support the achievement of major reforms in legislation and government policies. Today, NCLEJ continues to advance economic justice by securing reforms in the delivery of income support and related human services, and by safeguarding important legal and constitutional rights.
NCLEJ Executive Director Henry Freedman said of Ms. Selden’s appointment, “We are fortunate to have Ms. Selden join our other dedicated Board members as we continue to use the law to assure that government agencies respond to the dire needs of low-income families.”
Ms. Selden joined the firm in 2001 and became a partner in the litigation department in 2011. She focuses her practice on complex commercial disputes, securities litigation and matters involving managed funds.
