Debevoise & Plimpton LLP Names Two New Counsel

New York, NY - Debevoise & Plimpton LLP is pleased to announce that Gary E. Murphy and Jaeyong So, resident in our New York office, have become Counsel to the firm.
Gary E. Murphy is a member of the firm’s Corporate Department. His practice focuses on derivatives and structured finance. Mr. Murphy received his J.D. cum laude in 1996 from Harvard Law School, where he was a member of the Law Review. He graduated summa cum laude in 1992 with a B.A. in Asian and Middle Eastern Studies and a B.S. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and Wharton School, respectively, and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He has been an associate with Debevoise & Plimpton LLP since 1998.
Jaeyong So is a member of the firm’s Corporate Department. His practice focuses on corporate finance matters, including equipment finance, securities offerings, restructurings and securitizations. Mr. So received his J.D. cum laude in 1995 from Harvard Law School. He received his B.A. in Economics from Yale University, where he graduated magna cum laude in 1991. He has been an associate with Debevoise & Plimpton LLP since 1995.
