Debevoise & Plimpton Names Three New Counsel

Debevoise & Plimpton LLP is pleased to announce that Paul M. Rodel, Jeffrey E. Ross and Keith J. Slattery have been named counsel to the firm.
Paul M. Rodel, based in the firm’s New York office, is a member of the Corporate Department. His practice focuses on registered and private equity and debt capital markets transactions for issuers and underwriters in the U.S. and Latin America, especially Brazil. Prior to joining Debevoise in 2005, Mr. Rodel worked in the New York and Frankfurt offices of Davis Polk & Wardwell and worked in the New York and Geneva offices of McKinsey & Company. Mr. Rodel received his J.D. from Columbia University School of Law (1996), where he was a James Kent Scholar, Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and Editor-in-Chief of the Columbia Journal of Transnational Law, and his B.A., summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, from Tulane University (1992), including studies with distinction at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (1990-1991).
Jeffrey E. Ross, based in the firm’s New York office, is a member of the Corporate Department. His practice focuses on corporate transactions, including acquisitions, joint ventures and other business combinations in numerous industries, including the financial and insurance industries, for private equity sponsor and strategic clients. Prior to joining Debevoise in 2005, Mr. Ross worked as an associate in the New York office of Coudert Brothers LLP. He received his J.D., cum laude, from Cornell Law School (1999), his M.A., first class honors, in International Relations from University of Melbourne, Australia (1997) and his B.A. in History from Columbia University (1995).
Keith J. Slattery, based in the firm’s New York office, is a member of the Corporate Department. His practice focuses on corporate insurance and indemnification. Prior to joining Debevoise in 2008, Mr. Slattery was a Senior Vice President at American International Group, Inc., where he served as lead counsel to the Corporate D&O and Financial Institutions Divisions. He received his J.D. from Albany Law School of Union University (1995) and his B.A., cum laude, in Economics from St. Lawrence University (1992).
