Debevoise & Plimpton LLP Names International Counsel in Moscow

Debevoise & Plimpton LLP is pleased to announce that Alan Kartashkin, resident in our Moscow office, has become International Counsel to the firm.
Mr. Kartashkin is a member of the firm’s Corporate Department. He practices in the areas of project and equipment finance, mergers and acquisitions and securities. He has been recognized as a leading corporate/commercial practitioner in Russia by Chambers Global: The World’s Leading Lawyers for Business (2004-2005).

Mr. Kartashkin received his J.D. in 1996 from Cornell Law School and his law degree, with honors, in 1993 from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations. He is a member of the New York State Bar and is admitted to practice in Russia. Mr. Kartashkin joined Debevoise & Plimpton LLP in 1996 and has been resident in the firm’s Moscow office since 2001.
