- Save-the-Dates: Responding to Issues Raised by Dodd-Frank
Seminar Series
Программа: The Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, which was signed by President Obama on July 21, 2010, is the most sweeping reform of financial regulation in the United States since the Great Depression, with critical implications across the financial services spectrum.

There will be ample opportunity for questions and answers and informal discussion at each session. Breakfast will be served at 8:00 a.m., followed by the seminar at 8:30 a.m.

- Getting Ahead of the Curve: Advance Planning for Disputes in Energy and Infrastructure Projects
September 21, 2010
Программа: Every significant energy or infrastructure project entails some risk that it will become embroiled in a dispute. What steps can you take before a dispute arises to protect your company's interests? Is the project structured in a way that maximizes your company's rights? What options are available to you if a dispute actually arises? Speakers experienced in international dispute resolution will give a litigator’s perspective on how to best protect your investment. The seminar will provide insights from experience including drafting strategies to prevent disputes from arising, establishing agreed procedures to defuse disputes before they escalate, ensuring that you are protected by valuable but little-known international law rights and controlling arbitration costs through innovative procedures like those contained in the “Debevoise & Plimpton LLP Protocol to Promote Efficiency in International Arbitration.”
