Abraham Tabaie is a litigation partner and member of the firm’s Commercial Litigation Group based in San Francisco. His practice focuses on large-scale commercial business litigation, often involving trade secret misappropriation, breach-of-contract, breach of fiduciary duty, false advertising, hacking, data privacy, debt collection, and unfair competition claims.Mr. Tabaie has represented clients across a broad range of industries including technology, real estate, venture fund, private equity, manufacturing, and financial services at both the federal and state levels, as well as in private arbitration. Mr. Tabaie has also achieved considerable success in plaintiff-side commercial litigation, recovering over $50 million for his clients. In 2021, he was recognized by the Daily Journal as one of California’s 40 Under 40 lawyers.Prior to joining Debevoise, Mr. Tabaie was a litigation partner in the Palo Alto office of another international law firm where he successfully brought and defended claims relating to trade secret misappropriation, breach of fiduciary duty and breach of contract, among other areas. Earlier in his career, Mr. Tabaie clerked for the Hon. Barry G. Silverman of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals and the Hon. George H. King of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.He received his J.D. from the University of Southern California Law School in 2008 and his B.A. summa cum laude from UCLA in 2005.
