Magali Duque is a law clerk in the Litigation Department.Ms. Duque joined Debevoise in 2019. Ms. Duque received her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 2022, where she was the online managing editor for Volume 170 of the University of Pennsylvania Law Review. She was awarded the Andy Binns Impact Award for Outstanding Service to Graduate and Professional Student Life at the University of Pennsylvania in recognition of her leadership and service within Penn’s Black Law Students Association and her advocacy efforts informing equity and justice initiatives within Penn Law. She received her M.Sc. from the London School of Economics and Political Science in 2016 and her B.A. from Stanford University in 2015.Ms. Duque currently serves as the president of the board of directors for Robert Moses’ Kin Dance Company.Ms. Duque is the author of “2020-2021 FEP Report,” Financial Equity Project (2022). She is also the co-author of “Black Women Future Lawyers,” Thomson Reuters (2020); “Understanding the relationship between inequalities and poverty: mechanisms associated with crime, the legal system and punitive sanctions,” Joseph Rowntree Foundation (2019); “Double Trouble: A review of the relationship between UK poverty and economic inequality,” Oxfam (2017); and “More Equal Societies: What Works?” European Union (2016).She is a native French speaker and is proficient in Spanish.
