Michael Woollcombe-Clarke is a barrister in the International Dispute Resolution Group, resident in London. His practice focuses on international arbitration and commercial litigation.
As a barrister, Mr. Woollcombe-Clarke has full rights of audience before all courts and tribunals in England & Wales. He has experience of litigation in the United Kingdom and related jurisdictions; domestic and international arbitration under the auspices of the ICC, LCIA, LMAA and GAFTA; and ad hoc arbitral proceedings.
Prior to joining Debevoise, Mr. Woollcombe-Clarke qualified at one of London’s leading commercial barristers’ chambers, following a career during which he worked as a Senior Project Engineer for Balfour Beatty US in its large projects division.
Mr. Woollcombe-Clarke graduated from the University of Cambridge with First Class Honours. He has received various prizes and awards for academic excellence, including the William Charnley Prize for the Highest First-class in Law, the Astbury Scholarship (one of the most prestigious academic scholarships awarded by the Middle Temple) and the American Institute of Contractors Highest Exam Award.
