Akima Paul Lambert is a litigation international counsel and a member of the firm’s Commercial Litigation and International Dispute Resolution Group. Her practice focuses on complex commercial litigation and arbitration.

Mrs. Paul Lambert joined Debevoise in 2015.

She received an MA (Hons) from the University of Cambridge (Clare College) and a Maitrise en droit compare from the University of Paris II (Paris- Assas). She is fluent in French and conversant in Spanish.

Mrs. Paul Lambert is part of a team advising a leading plc in proceedings arising from the $1 billion clean-up of the Fox River in the United States and the associated recovery of over $800 million in dividends.

Mrs. Paul Lambert is admitted as a Solicitor Advocate in England and Wales and is also admitted to practice in New York. She was nominated as a Rising Star in the Thomson Reuters 2014 UK edition of Super Lawyers. Her publications include “High Court Declares Arbitration Notice Invalid,” ICC Dispute Resolution Bulletin (2018, Issue 1) and “The Financial List: an early assessment,” Butterworths Journal of International Banking and Financial Law (October, 2016).

Mrs. Paul Lambert completed a fellowship at the Commonwealth Human Rights Initiative in 2008 and was one of the youngest awardees of United Nations Global 500 Award for services to the environment. She is significantly involved in pro bono and has worked on and co-ordinated a range of pro bono matters in relation to international economic development and human rights.
