Aymeric Dumoulin is a counsel in the firm’s White Collar & Regulatory Defense Group focused on white collar defense and investigations, including matters involving allegations of corruption, tax fraud, money laundering and terrorism financing, sanctions and export control violations, and ESG-related issues. Mr. Dumoulin also serves as the Head of the firm’s Swiss Banking Practice.

Mr. Dumoulin represents companies and executives in what are frequently their most sensitive and business-critical matters. These include defending against criminal charges, regulatory inquiries and congressional investigations, often involving national security concerns. Mr. Dumoulin, having represented companies in numerous post-resolution phases, has also developed a deep expertise in advising multinational companies on a vast array of US and EU compliance matters.

Mr. Dumoulin boasts a genuine international pedigree, being one of the few lawyers in his field with fluency in the US and EU legal systems. Before relocating to Paris, as a dual-qualified US-French counsel, Mr. Dumoulin spent nearly a decade in the firm’s New York office. He has worked on many high-profile and complex global investigations, including the first ever joint resolution between the US Department of Justice (“DOJ”) and the French Parquet National Financier (“PNF”), the DOJ’s first ever corporate material support for terrorism prosecution, and on multiple representations of major Swiss banks in the DOJ’s crack down of Swiss bank secrecy. Mr. Dumoulin has become a trusted advisor for major matters requiring broad white-collar expertise and credibility in multiple jurisdictions.

Mr. Dumoulin is recommended by Legal 500 EMA 2023, was named a Rising Star by Expert Guides in 2022, and was most recently named to the “40 Under 40” list of the Global Investigations Review, which recognizes the next generation of accomplished young investigations specialists around the world who have gone above and beyond in their work.

Mr. Dumoulin, as a recognized thought leader in his practices, founded and co-chairs the White-Collar Crime Young Practitioners (WCCYP) initiative, which counts as members young white-collar superstars in a growing number of jurisdictions. He is also an adjunct faculty member, a frequent speaker and author, and regularly quoted by journalists on white collar topics.  

Mr. Dumoulin received his J.D. from Columbia Law School in 2013, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar, recipient of the Parker School Recognition of Achievement in International and Comparative Law and a member of the Columbia Business Law Review. While in law school, Mr. Dumoulin was a teaching fellow in Civil Procedure to Professor Jack Greenberg, an intern in the New York enforcement division of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, and a law clerk to the Hon. Jack Weinstein in the Eastern District of New York. In 2013, Mr. Dumoulin earned simultaneously from the Université Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne an M.A. in International Commercial Law, with honors, and a Maîtrise en droit. While at the Sorbonne, Mr. Dumoulin received the Francis Lefebvre Prize in Corporate Law.

Prior to pursuing his legal education, Mr. Dumoulin was a trained financial engineer, with work experiences in the financial sector, and had received an M.S. in Financial Engineering and a B.S., graduating both times among the top of his class, from the Faculty of Business and Economics (HEC) at the University of Lausanne.

Mr. Dumoulin is fluent in French.
