The Asia team, which includes senior partners with significant Asia experience in international offices, features U.S., UK and locally qualified lawyers fluent in a number of languages, including Mandarin Chinese. These capabilities mean the team is particularly well placed to advise clients active in Asia on the UK Bribery Act (and predecessor legislation) and the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.
The key members of the Asia team include lawyers whose careers have been focused on anti-corruption and related areas, such as Lord (Peter) Goldsmith, QC, Chair of European and Asian Litigation, and Hong Kong-based partners Mark Johnson and Gareth Hughes, two of the region's foremost lawyers in this area.
