Privacy Shield Not Trumped

Contrary to speculation, President Trump’s Executive Order on immigration does not undo Privacy Shield, the EU-US data transfer protocol.
The tumult around the Executive Order does indicate that the pressures on validity of Privacy Shield within the EU may be rising.
Companies can still consider self-certifying for Privacy Shield, and should also consider the use of Binding Corporate Rules and Standard Contractual Clauses for data transfers from the EU to the US.
