Carolina Kupferman is a senior litigation associate in the New York office. Her practice focuses on complex civil litigation, white collar investigations and anti-corruption compliance matters, with a particular focus on Latin America. Her practice includes corporate defense in a wide range of class actions, contractual disputes, shareholder derivative cases and securities litigations.

Ms. Kupferman has litigated cases in federal and state court. As part of her work, Ms. Kupferman defends individuals and companies in criminal, civil, and regulatory enforcement matters, conducts cross-border internal investigations, advises companies in connection with compliance matters and risks posed by potential transactions, and helps organizations overcome crises. She also devotes a significant amount of time to pro bono representation of criminal defense clients.

Ms. Kupferman is an appointed member of the Special Committee on Hispanic Legal Rights and Responsibilities at the American Bar Association. She is also a member of the Líderes Board of LatinoJustice PRLDEF, a national not-for-profit Latino civil rights legal defense fund.

Ms. Kupferman joined Debevoise in 2015. She received a J.D. from Harvard Law School in 2015, serving as a student-attorney at the Harvard Legal Aid Bureau where she served as lead counsel in multiple trials and argued in front of the Massachusetts Appeals Court. She received a B.A. from Harvard College in 2011. Ms. Kupferman is a native Spanish speaker and conversational in French and Portuguese.

Ms. Kupferman is a member of the Bar of New York and is also admitted to appear before the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
