Elly Tso is a litigation associate whose practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, contentious regulatory matters and investigations.
Recommended for Regulatory: Anti-Corruption and Compliance by The Legal 500 Asia Pacific (2019), Ms. Tso has extensive experience in representing financial institutions, listed companies, multinational corporations and individuals in commercial and contractual disputes, and investigations conducted by Hong Kong and overseas regulators and enforcement agencies. She has also represented companies and liquidators in international insolvency proceedings, and advised clients in anti-bribery, corruption and money laundering investigations, including Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.
Ms. Tso joined Debevoise in 2017. She was admitted to practise as a solicitor in Hong Kong in 2006 and England & Wales in 2009. She received an LL.B. (Hons) from the University of Keele, a PCLL from the University of Hong Kong and an LLM. from Leiden University where she was the executive editor of The Leiden Journal of International Law. She is fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin and English.
