Eric N. Fischer is a corporate associate and a member of the firm’s Investment Management Group. His practice focuses on sponsors and investors in connection with secondary transactions, co-investments, management spin-outs and other transactions relating to alternative investments. He additionally has experience advising sponsors on the formation of private investment funds and separately managed accounts, covering numerous sectors and strategies, including buyout, venture capital, infrastructure, credit, fund-of-funds and real estate. Mr. Fischer’s recent experience includes acting for clients such as HarbourVest Partners, StepStone Group, Glendower Capital, Pantheon and The Carlyle Group.

From August 2020 through November 2020, Mr. Fischer was on secondment with the infrastructure and real assets team of a leading global private markets firm, where he assisted on primary fund investments, secondary transactions, and co-investments, as well as the formation of multiple separately managed accounts.

Mr. Fischer joined Debevoise in 2018. He received a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center cum laude in 2016, where he was an online editor of the Georgetown Law Journal and the recipient of CALI awards in Bargain, Exchange, and Liability and Professional Responsibility. He received an A.B. from Washington University in St. Louis in 2013.
