Heather Atkins is an English qualified associate in the firm’s Tax Department and is based in the London office. Her practice focuses on the tax aspects of private fund formation and operation, executive incentives, financing transactions, Mergers and Acquisitions, transaction structuring and tax consultancy.

Ms. Atkins joined Debevoise in 2017. Ms. Atkins was a Dean’s Honor’s Scholar at Tulane University and graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. She obtained her Graduate Diploma in Law with commendation and her Legal Practice Course with distinction from BPP Law School, London and has undertaken various other courses through the University of Washington, Oxford University and the University of Law, London. Prior to qualifying as a lawyer and practicing at another leading international law firm in London, Ms. Atkins worked within a range of sectors including investment management, oil and gas, philanthropy and media (in which she was honoured to serve as an inaugural non-executive director of PBS UK (now PBS America)).

Ms. Atkins was admitted as a solicitor of the Senior Courts of England & Wales in 2014.
