The New Space Race: Risks and Opportunities

Thursday 31 March, 17.00 – 18.00 CET, 16.00-17.00 BST, 11.00 – 12.00 EDT
Organizer: Debevoise & Plimpton

This webinar is part of Paris Arbitration Week, which is being held this year from 28 March to 1 April. We look forward to welcoming you to the webinar and connecting with you during the course of the week.

The 20th century “Space Race” was defined by the actions of States trying to achieve spacefaring milestones. The “New Space Race” of the 21st century, by contrast, is driven by private commercial development, with States maintaining their role as regulators over an industry that has ballooned to over US$1 trillion in investment. This panel will address the consequences of this fundamental change, including the business risks and opportunities of this “new world” for private companies and the impact on the nature of disputes.
