Jil Simon is a litigation associate whose practice focuses on white collar criminal defense, internal investigations, compliance advice, and risk mitigation in connection with potential transactions. Ms. Simon has particular experience with matters involving compliance with foreign corrupt practices legislation. Ms. Simon is the associate editor of FCPA Update, the firm’s monthly newsletter addressing developments in anti-corruption law enforcement and related compliance topics. She regularly contributes to external publications, including the American Bar Association Newsletter and the Trade Security Journal.

Ms. Simon joined Debevoise in 2013. From 2014 to 2015, she clerked on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit for the Hon. Joseph A. Greenaway, Jr. She received her J.D. from Cardozo School of Law summa cum laude in 2013. Ms. Simon earned a B.A. from Vassar College in 2004. Before attending law school, Ms. Simon worked in the New York theatre industry.
