Jonathan DeMars is a litigation associate in the Washington, D.C. office. His practice focuses on SEC enforcement proceedings, white collar investigations, and securities litigation.

Mr. DeMars joined Debevoise in 2018. He received a J.D. cum laude from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University in 2018, where he was editor-in-chief of the Hofstra Law Review. He received a B.S. from the University of Richmond’s Robins School of Business in 2013.

Prior to attending law school, Mr. DeMars was a private equity fund accountant with Kaufman Rossin Fund Services LLC (since acquired) in Miami, Florida. During law school, he worked as a legal intern for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Division of Enforcement.
