McCahey Townsend is an associate in the Litigation Department.Ms. Townsend joined Debevoise in 2018. From 2019 to 2020, she clerked for the Hon. Ramon E. Reyes, Jr. of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York. She received her J.D. from Cornell Law School, where she was an Honors Fellow and taught first-year students legal analysis, writing and oral advocacy. She also served as senior articles editor of the Cornell International Law Journal and as a bench editor on the Moot Court Board. She received a B.A. from Johns Hopkins University in 2012 with university and departmental honors.Prior to law school, Ms. Townsend worked as a Trial Preparation Assistant at the New York County District Attorney’s Office and was the recipient of a 2012-2013 Fulbright Award to Indonesia.
