Stephen Petraeus is an associate in the Litigation Department.

Mr. Petraeus joined Debevoise in 2021. Mr. Petraeus received his J.D. cum laude from Harvard Law School in 2021, where he was a staff editor for the National Security Journal, and his M.B.A. with distinction from Harvard Business School in 2021. Mr. Petraeus received a B.S. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2009. Prior to law school, Mr. Petraeus served as an officer in the United States Army from 2009 to 2017.

Mr. Petraeus is a co-author of “Debevoise & Plimpton Discusses SEC Enforcement Action Highlighting Whistleblower-Related Rules,” CLS Blue Sky Blog (April, 2022) and “Sources of Power in Public Negotiations: A Framework Applied to Public-Public and Public-Private Negotiations,” Negotiation Journal, Vol. 36, No. 4 (Fall 2020).
