Xavier Couderc-Fani is an associate in the Paris office and a member of the Private Equity and Funds/Investment Management Groups.

Mr. Couderc-Fani’s practice focuses on investment funds and regulatory matters. He advises clients, including private equity firms and other asset managers, on all legal and regulatory matters relating to the structuring, formation, fundraising and operation of regulated and non-regulated investment funds. He also advises sponsors of private investment funds (private equity funds, real estate funds, debt funds, infrastructure funds, funds of funds) and their related operations and transactions.

Prior to joining Debevoise in 2021, Mr. Couderc-Fani worked as an associate in the Paris offices of two other international law firms in their funds formation practice.

Mr. Couderc-Fani received a Specialized Master's in International Law and Management from ESCP Europe Paris in 2014. He is also a graduate of the Institute of Business Law (IDA) of the Aix-en-Provence University where he holds a Master of Law (Master 2) in International Business Law and a Corporation Counsel’s Jurist Diploma (DJCE) (2013).

Mr. Couderc-Fani is admitted to the Paris Bar. His native language is French and he is fluent in English.
