Debevoise & Plimpton has won the “Investment Funds Law Firm of the Year” category at the Asian Legal Business Hong Kong Law Awards, 2015.

At a ceremony held at the Conrad Hotel in Hong Kong, Debevoise came top of a group of eight shortlisted firms. The awards, in their 14th year, recognize excellence within the legal community in Hong Kong.

Debevoise was one of the first firms to advise private equity funds on their activities in Asia, and has remained at the forefront of the sector. The team, led by Andrew M. Ostrognai, advised on some of the most prominent fund raisings in the region over the last year. These included Baring Asia Private Equity Fund VI, Morgan Stanley Private Equity Asia IV, Navis Asia Partners VII, and CDH Fund V. Those four fund alone raised almost $10 billion.
