Debevoise & Plimpton LLP announced today that Douglas Zolkind will join the firm’s New York office as counsel in its White Collar & Regulatory Defense practice on Monday, February 8.
Mr. Zolkind brings extensive experience in investigations, prosecutions and trials in cases involving foreign bribery and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, wire fraud, international money laundering, business and political corruption, bank fraud, securities offenses, and cybercrime, as well as new and emerging technologies for obtaining and analyzing evidence.
He will join Debevoise after more than six years as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York (SDNY), serving in the Criminal Division’s Public Corruption Unit. Mr. Zolkind was trial counsel in several of the SDNY’s most high profile white collar cases in recent years.

Prior to joining SDNY, Mr. Zolkind was a litigation associate at another international law firm. He received his B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania in 2005 and his J.D. from Cornell Law School in 2008.
