Jessica Polebaum is a litigation associate whose practice focuses on international dispute resolution and public international law.

Ms. Polebaum has acted as counsel in international commercial and investment arbitrations established under the ICSID Convention and the UNCITRAL, ICC, and SIAC Rules, as well as in connection with claims and complaints brought before the International Court of Justice, the International Civil Aviation Organization Council, the World Trade Organization Dispute Settlement Body, United Nations human rights treaty bodies, and international conciliation commissions.

She is a member of the American Society of International Law and served on the Program Committee for the society’s 2022 Annual Meeting.

Ms. Polebaum joined Debevoise in 2015. She received a J.D. cum laude from the Georgetown University Law Center, in 2015. At Georgetown, she was managing editor of the Georgetown Journal of International Law, as well as a Global Law Scholar, Pro Bono Pledge Honoree and Human Rights Institute Associate. Ms. Polebaum received a B.A. magna cum laude from Middlebury College in 2008.

She is proficient in Spanish and Portuguese.
