Tigist Kassahun is a corporate counsel in the Intellectual Property and Technology Transactions Group, as well as a frequent collaborator with the firm’s Data Strategy & Security practice.

Ms. Kassahun is experienced in leading intellectual property and technology transactions and advising clients on related matters, including intellectual property protection, data privacy and cybersecurity. She regularly represents a broad range of clients across the technology, financial services, arts, telecommunications, private equity, entertainment, healthcare and insurance industries.

Ms. Kassahun joined Debevoise in 2015. Ms. Kassahun received a J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law in 2015, where she served on the Berkeley Technology Law Journal. She received a B.A. from Pomona College in 2010 and is a recipient of the College’s Matthew Klopfleisch Prize in Media Studies.

Ms. Kassahun is conversant in Hebrew and Portuguese.
