Full Steam Ahead: EPA Regulations Put Industrial Boiler Emissions under Pressure
4 January 2013
The United States Environmental Protection Agency (the "EPA") recently finalized regulations imposing air emissions limits on industrial boilers.
Approximately 14,000 boilers nationwide are subject to the regulations; the EPA estimates that about 12% of these boilers will require the installation of pollution control equipment to meet emission standards.
Boiler operators have three years from the date of publication of the rule to comply with these standards.
