On November 12, 2014, the Dutch Public Prosecutor’s Office (“Openbaar Ministerie”) and Netherlands-based oil platform services company SBM Offshore N.V. (“SBM”) announced an out-of-court settlement for $240 million (193 million Euros) related to bribery allegations involving SBM sales agents in Brazil, Equatorial Guinea and Angola.
