In a recent Wall Street Journal Pro Cybersecurity article entitled, “Cyber Matters: The Do’s and Don’ts for Companies Hit by a Breach,” Debevoise partner and co-chair of the Cybersecurity and Data Privacy practice Luke Dembosky said the ability to detect and escalate anomalous network activity in a timely way is key to effective incident response. “You may only be seeing the top of the iceberg,” he cautioned, encouraging cross-functional incident response teams “to develop a ‘spidey-sense’ to deal with potential data breach issues that aren’t black and white.”
