Frederick T. Davis and Anna Gressel, members of our Litigation Group in our Paris and New York offices, have published an article in the current edition of the Litigation Journal of the American Bar Association which explores the recently adopted Clarifying Lawful Overseas Use of Data Act (the “CLOUD Act”). The CLOUD Act creates far-reaching new rules for international access by US criminal investigators to emails and data stored in foreign countries. A pdf of the article can be found here.
