Debevoise Advises Uralkali in Buyback Programme of its Common Shares and Global Depositary Receipts with the Total Purchase Amount of up to $1.32 Billion

The Moscow and London offices of Debevoise & Plimpton LLP are advising Uralkali, one of the world's largest potash producers, in a buyback programme of its Common Shares and GDRs with a total purchase amount of $1.32 billion. The buyback is expected to be completed by the end of 2015.

In 2015, Debevoise advised several Russian companies on successful tender offers and buy backs, including Uralkali in April 2015, when its subsidiary conducted a tender offer for up to $1.5 billion of Uralkali's securities. In total Debevoise has represented leading Russian companies in tender offers and open market buybacks for an aggregate amount of over $17 billion.
