Debevoise & Plimpton LLP was honored twice at The 2018 Deal Awards hosted by leading M&A publication, The Deal.

Partner Jonathan E. Levitsky took home the award for Entertainment/Media Lawyer of the Year, while Debevoise was recognized as the lead firm on the Private Equity Deal of the Year (Humana, TPG Capital LP and Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe in their acquisition of Kindred Healthcare). The deal was led by partners Andrew Bab and Jennifer Chu.

The Deal Awards celebrate the exceptional advisors and service providers who power the deal economy. Winners were selected through an intensive three-step judging process, beginning with hundreds of peer nominations. The newsroom then determined a shortlist of applicants based off of in-depth interviews with leading analysts in the field, uncovering the most significant deals and dealmakers of the year. Final awardees were determined via majority vote by the publication’s top editors.

Mr. Levitsky is a corporate partner and member of the firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions, Technology, Media & Telecommunications and Private Equity Groups. His practice focuses primarily on public and private mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures. He has led transactions across many industries but has a particular focus in the technology, media and telecommunication sectors.
