Lord Goldsmith KC to Speak at the Inaugural London International Disputes Week

30 April 2019

Lord Goldsmith KC, Chair of European and Asia Litigation at Debevoise & Plimpton LLP, is joining an international cadre of high profile speakers at the inaugural London International Disputes Week (LIDW).

Kicking off on 7 May and spanning four days, LIDW will explore the future of international dispute resolution and celebrate the heritage of London as a leading centre for handling international disputes, through a programme of interactive sessions and networking events.

Lord Goldsmith KC is speaking at two events during the week. The first is the 9 May GAR Live London conference, which is an official part of LIDW. During the event, Lord Goldsmith KC will join the GAR Live Debate session, arguing for the motion that “an increasingly populist world is bad for arbitration.”

Lord Goldsmith’s second appearance at LIDW is at the 10 May State Responsibility in Investment Law conference, which is also part of LIDW and is organised by the British Institute of International and Comparative Law. During the conference, Lord Goldsmith KC will be speaking on a panel discussion focused on contributory fault, responsibility for continuous and composite acts, and the cumulative effect of a series of acts.
