Delphine Jaugey and John Rife, members of the Funds/Investment Management Group at Debevoise & Plimpton LLP, have been named by Legal Week to its list of up-and-coming lawyers in UK and European private equity.

The list was compiled by Legal Week following months of research amongst the world’s largest and most influential private equity firms. The cohort of successful lawyers represent the finest private practice lawyers under 40 advising private equity in the region.

Delphine Jaugey is an international counsel at Debevoise in London. Legal Week notes that she has lived in a total of six different countries, and practiced in London, Luxembourg and Hong Kong. Jaugey cites meeting people in each of those places “who taught me something unique and expanded my understanding and appreciation for the complexity of the law” as amongst the biggest influences on her career. Ms. Jaugey has previously been named a rising star by IFLR1000.

John Rife is a partner at Debevoise in London. Legal Week notes that he was the first Debevoise trainee to be promoted to partner in London. During its research, Legal Week gathered feedback that Mr. Rife is ”a domain expert when it comes to secondary deals”, and a “formidable counterpart”. Mr. Rife was previously named by Private Equity International to its Future 40, a list of private equity professionals set to shape the industry over the next decade.
