Debevoise & Plimpton LLP partner Mary Jo White has received both the Women’s White Collar Defense Association’s Champion Award and The American Lawyer’s Lifetime Achievement Award.

The WWCDA Champion Award celebrates “an individual who has made a difference in the White Collar area while advancing women.” The American Lawyer Lifetime Achievement Award honors those professionals who have significantly impacted the legal profession through their substantive work and public service.

At The American Lawyer Industry Awards ceremony, Ms. White noted “a lifetime of achievements in the law can mean a lot of things, but they really don’t count much if we forget our role as citizens and ethical keepers of the rule-of-law flame. It is up to each of us to figure out our own best way of both practicing law and fulfilling our broader obligations throughout our lives as lawyers.”

Ms. White is Senior Chair of the firm, a litigation partner within the firm’s award winning White Collar & Regulatory Defense Group and leader of the firm’s Strategic Crisis Response and Solutions Group.
