Debevoise & Plimpton LLP hosted a naturalization screening clinic with our client the D. E. Shaw group. Working in teams at Debevoise’s New York office, the D. E. Shaw group and Debevoise lawyers screened low-income New Yorkers to determine whether they were eligible to become naturalized U.S. citizens. Twenty-one D. E. Shaw group employees, including members of the firm’s Legal & Compliance department as well as members of its Latinx Affinity Group, and 20 Debevoise lawyers and staff participated in the clinic, which was organized by Legal Services NYC.
