26 June 2020

Debevoise & Plimpton LLP litigation partner Andrew Levine served as a co-editor of the first edition of Latin Lawyer’s “The Guide to Corporate Compliance.” He also penned the book’s introduction, and he and counsel Erich Grosz contributed a chapter on “Assessing and Mitigating Compliance Risks in the Transactional Context.

While focusing on examples from Latin America, the guide includes insights that have global relevance, illustrating how compliance is a continuing process of assessing risks in an environment of ever-increasing expectations. In particular, the book addresses Latin America’s compliance landscape, key considerations in building an effective compliance program, perspectives on compliance as a business advantage, specific legislative and regulatory pressure points, compliance challenges in certain higher-risk industries, and compliance trends to watch.
