Four partners of Debevoise & Plimpton LLP have been recognized in Benchmark Litigation’s “40 and Under Hotlist,” which recognizes the most accomplished litigation partners across the U.S. and Canada. Partners named to the list are recognized as the “best and brightest” in their field and for handling high-stakes and precedent-setting cases.

The honorees represent a wide array of litigation expertise:

Susan Gittes, partner in New York, focuses on complex civil litigation in federal and state courts. Ms. Gittes  advises insurance companies on litigation and regulatory matters. She also represents corporations and their directors and officers in federal securities class actions.

Arian June, partner in Washington, D.C., focuses on government and internal investigations, securities enforcement defense, whistleblower response, sensitive investigations, crisis management and white collar criminal defense. Ms. June represents financial institutions, publicly traded companies, investment advisers and senior executives on a broad range of complex regulatory matters.

Ina Popova, partner in New York and Paris, focuses on international arbitration, international litigation and public international law. Ms. Popova represents private parties and States in a broad range of international matters, handling arbitration disputes, related court litigation and public international law issues.

Jane Shvets, partner in London and New York, focuses on white collar defense and internal investigations, in particular regarding compliance with corrupt practices legislation. Ms. Shvets also leads the firm’s sanctions practice in Europe and is a member of the firm’s Data Strategy and Security practice.

Winners were selected based on several phases of research including peer and client review, along with examination of individual cases.
