Kathleen Emberger Joins Debevoise as Counsel in the Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation Group

Debevoise & Plimpton LLP announced today that Kathleen Emberger has joined the firm’s New York office as counsel in the Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation Group. In her new role, Ms. Emberger will make a significant contribution to the Group’s ability to provide senior-level advice in this important area of the firm’s transactions and advisory assignments.

Ms. Emberger brings to the firm a breadth of executive compensation experience, including advising on employment agreements and equity incentive arrangements, and representing clients on employment and executive compensation-related aspects of public and private mergers and acquisitions. Additionally, for public company clients, Ms. Emberger has worked on a variety of SEC disclosure and governance matters related to benefits and compensation.

Ms. Emberger previously worked in the Executive Compensation and Benefits Group of another international law firm. She received her B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania in 1995, and her J.D. and her LL.M. in Comparative and International Law from Duke University School of Law in 1998.
