Debevoise & Plimpton LLP announced today that Caroline Geiger has joined the firm’s New York office as counsel in the Corporate Intellectual Property Group, to advise clients on the IP and technology aspects of mergers and acquisitions and other corporate transactions, as well as standalone transactions involving IP or technology assets.
Ms. Geiger brings to the firm extensive experience in IP and technology related transactions across various industries in connection with M&A, private equity, financing and other corporate transactions. She also provides legal counsel on standalone commercial transactions and IP and technology transactions.

Ms. Geiger previously worked in the intellectual property practice of another international law firm. She also served as in-house IP and technology counsel at a Fortune 100 company, where she focused on corporate transactions, business unit and asset divestitures and new business ventures. Ms. Geiger received her B.A. from Stanford University and her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2006.
