Sixty-seven lawyers from Debevoise & Plimpton LLP’s London office have been included in the latest Pro Bono Recognition List of England & Wales.
The list recognizes solicitors and barristers practicing in England & Wales who dedicated 25 hours or more pro bono legal assistance over the last year, with many offering substantially more than that.
The initiative is supported by the Law Society, the Bar Council, CILEX and all the major pro bono organisations under the aegis of the Attorney General’s Pro Bono Committee.
The recognition comes after a busy pro bono year for Debevoise’s London team. Amongst other highlights, the team achieved a landmark reproductive rights ruling from the United Nations Human Rights Committee.
Since the firm’s founding in 1931, Debevoise’s pro bono work has been central to its culture. The firm focuses on helping underserved and vulnerable communities tackle social problems and solve complex legal issues.
