Debevoise & Plimpton LLP announces that partner David Grosgold has recently been named co-head of the firm’s Latin America Practice. Mr. Grosgold will lead the group alongside partners  Andrew M. Levine and Dietmar Prager.

The Debevoise Latin America Practice combines leading corporate, arbitration and white collar capabilities and a savvy understanding of the region. The practice works with some of the most sophisticated and respected strategic investors, domestic and international private equity firms, corporations, financial institutions, state-owned entities and family groups, with some relationships dating back as long as 50 years.

David Grosgold is a partner in the firm’s Financial Institutions and Insurance Practice Groups and co-head of the Latin America Practice. A native of Colombia, Mr. Grosgold brings deep regional insight and cultural fluency to his work, regularly representing major financial institutions, insurers and multinational corporations in high-stakes cross-border matters throughout Latin America, as well as in the U.S. and Asia. His practice covers a wide range of transactions in the financial services and insurance industries, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, reinsurance and bancassurance deals.
